CA/CS/CMA considered equivalent to Post graduate : Says UGC

                                             

                                                 University Grant Commission  has approved on 15th March,2021, That the CA/CS/CMA degree now considered equivalent to post graduation degree.

                                                 UGC has said officially that the request has been received from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), The Institute of Company secretory (ICSI), The Institute of Cost and Works Accountants (ICWA) regarding giving the equivalent position to this professional degrees. 

                                                The committee has been formed for this purpose and they have approved it after taking into consideration the recommendation made by the professional bodies. 

                                                "The UGC has resolved that CA qualification will be treated  equivalent to PG degree based on request submitted from ICAI. This will not only help CA's pursuing higher studies but will also facilitate the mobility of  Indian CA's globally.", Said ICAI.

How it helps a CA students ?

                                                  This will help CA's to get their higher studies like PH.D , professor, etc. Earlier, the CA's has to get their master's done for appearing in NET exams, if they have dream to be a professor at university level. Now they don't need to do any any other post graduation or graduation degree separately as now CA degree is considered equivalent to post graduations as UGC has approved it. This will also help CA's to get the global recognition .
